T4E Walther PDP Compact 4″ Umarex cal. 43

History:

The Walther PDP (Performance Duty Pistol) is a semi-automatic pistol designed in 2021 by Walther Arms as a replacement for the Walther PPQ. The PDP was designed to be more modular than previous Walther handguns and has been described by Walther as their flagship handgun.

Features:

A new and effective method of defending people and property by firing .43 caliber rubber bullets.
The construction of the Walther PDP Compact pistol consists of a metal slide and a polymer frame.
This favorably reduces the overall weight . At the same time, the pistol is quite massive.
The Walther PDP Compact T4E pistol is powered by a 12 g CO2 cartridge inserted into the pistol’s magazine.
This cartridge is sufficient for up to 40 shots.

The principle of the CO2 system: The canister is inserted into the weapon and impales itself on the mandrel by mechanical closure.
When the trigger is pulled, the valve strikes the valve striker and the valve opens.
This is when CO2 gas begins to flow from the canister, which propels the ball out of the barrel.

The magazine is for .43 caliber Rubber Ball ammunition. There are several types of ammunition available in this caliber.
The magazine holds 8 of these bullets.

The trigger mechanism in the Umarex Walther PDP Compact 4″ T4E pistol body operates in SA – Single Action mode. The trigger does not cock the drum mechanism. Its task is only to fire it.
Before the first shot, you pull the weapon’s slide backward and release it forward. This cocks the drum mechanism.
After firing, the percussion mechanism is automatically cocked, thanks to the Blowback system , so you only have to press the trigger for the next shot. The principle is the same as with a real firearm.

Inside the trigger, you’ll find a safety tab to prevent accidental firing . We know this type of safety from Glock models.
The trigger tab in the middle must be pressed to unlock the weapon and allow a shot to be fired.
