This 2-lug, fully cylindrical action is compatible with a wide array of aftermarket accessories, ensuring versatility in customization. Teaming up with MDT, Weatherby crafted an ultra-light chassis rifle tailored for both range dominance and field performance. Constructed from carbon fiber, the chassis features a foldable buttstock, reducing overall length by over 9 inches when collapsed, a boon for compact portability. The model 307 action incorporates a tool-less bolt disassembly for easy field maintenance, equipped with an M16-style extractor for reliable ejection. Enhancing usability, the Alpine MDT includes an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger and PEAK 44 picatinny rail. Mounted on MDT’s HNT26 Chassis System, purpose-built for hunting, this lightweight chassis (weighing just 26 oz) boasts a magnesium alloy stock, carbon fiber forend, pistol grip and buttstock. It features V-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, comb and compatibility with AICS magazines.
